Band Photos 1980s & 1990s

The following photos were taken during the 1980s and 1990s. Notice the infamous Solent Concert Band Coach after an accident on the way to National Finals Contest at the Albert Hall in 1981. Many of the band's instruments were crushed during the accident, which forced most players to borrow instruments from the trade stands at the contest. The band were subsequently awarded 7th place. Other photos include the band at the Brighton Contest and entertaining the summer crowds at the Port Solent Marina. Back to History Gallery
